a sense of community eases the burden

Invisible in plain sight?

Invisible in plain sight?

One of the biggest recurring issues we hear of—outside of the material—is how lonely and isolating homelessness can be.

Time For Homes is dedicated to a health-based approach; part of that approach includes building a sense of community and camaraderie when possible.

To that end, though we aren’t a direct-service organization, we do have some resources for people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.

First, we have a community-moderated Discord server to help those going through these issues find social connections without judgment. The server has hundreds of members who have either experienced or are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. These members find companionship, advice, and belonging—something they struggle to find elsewhere.

Additionally, we can make referrals to partner organizations, as appropriate, and we can provide general assistance.

If you’re homeless, about to be homeless, or have been homeless—or are just curious: read on.

Discord Community

We realize how isolating homelessness can be—in an effort to offer connections without judgment (and only a few minor rules), Time For Homes operates a Discord Server to help you find companionship, advice, and support.
